- Served as SEG Leader and QA Leader for enterprise security products, combining incident RCA, hotfix validation, and system and performance testing.
- Wrote Python monitoring for Chrome Beta and Stable releases through Google APIs, triggering browser updates, sensitive-file upload tests, and email alerts when DLP failed to block an upload. This helped the team address compatibility issues before customer reports.
- Proposed supported-site scanning, adopted and implemented by the team. Based on my recollection of the QA performance test report, this design change alone reduced CPU and memory use by at least 10% each relative to the previous design. Unlisted sites were explicitly unsupported; users could try adding sites to a configuration file and report failures to Support for the team to assess whether to support them.
- Initiated an issue-type-based DLP diagnostic guide. In its first month, the share of cases SEG returned to L2 for missing information fell by 20 percentage points, according to figures shared by my manager.
- Automated validation with Python, Selenium, Robot Framework and TMSTAF, using Jenkins and GitHub for CI and code collaboration. Reproduced incidents in VMware, Hyper-V and Azure environments and investigated logs and dumps with WinDbg and ProcMon.
- Received Trend Micro's internal Yearly Best SEG Engineer recognition in 2019 and 2021.
